Solution with results that paid off
After consulting with the clients and assessing their needs, our design team came up with a plan to update the kitchen to the clients modern style and provide solutions for their needs.
To create a more modern ceiling that fit the clients style, we suggested to square off the design and remove the crown molding. This created clean lines and was the perfect backdrop for beams to be added to accent the space, create dimension and add a natural looking element to the space.
To create a more cohesive first floor, we suggested removing the tiled flooring and weaving in wood flooring to be stained the same color. This also helped with a seamless transition between the opening at the kitchen and dining as well.
To make better use of the buffet space we eliminated the built in desk and created a buffet and beverage center. We incorporated wood open shelves that compliment the new beams and center the buffet wall. Appliance garages at the countertop allow for appliances to be hidden and well used when needed. The beverage cooler placement compliments the opposing drawer storage for a balanced look.
This finished project allows our clients to cook in a kitchen that represents their style and function well as a young family while giving extra space for entertaining.
